History

Having began his real estate career in the early nineties as a mortgage operations consultant, which involved the due diligence examination, bulk sale and collateralization of mortgage backed securities, Mr. Potter attained the rank of an MI certified underwriter and worked with a wide spectrum of companies - such as Bank of America, Ernst & Young, Hanover Capital, Countrywide, Merrill Lynch, ABM-AMRO and Bank One. National travel included Boston, New Jersey, Dallas, San Francisco, Phoenix, Detroit and Los Angeles.

Later joining Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Brokerage in the Los Angeles office, as a commercial broker specializing in the sale of shopping centers, Mr. Potter earned achievement awards in closings, listings and marketing proposals. In 2000, Mr. Potter assisted in the opening of the Pasadena office for Sperry Van Ness, another national brokerage specializing in investment sales, wherein he was also awarded performance awards.

Mr. Potter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Cal-Poly Pomona, and later went on to complete a Masters of Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University, and an additional MBA from the University of Phoenix in Technology Management, with an emphasis in Real Estate; and subsequently finished part of a doctorate degree from Pepperdine University, wherein his dissertation proposal was accepted.
